Port Blair, Nov 24: PS Pahargaon police made series of arrests in Tamil Nadu on the charges of cheating the islanders in two different cases.
A police team deputed by A&N Police arrested one Ravichandran on 14/10/17 from Rajaji Salai, Chennai who is claiming to be the CEO, ABH Marine Services, on the charge of cheating & duping innocent job aspirant on the pretext of providing 4th Engineer job in the marine sector. The arrest was made based on the investigation into a complaint lodged by a job seeker, a diploma engineer of Port Blair who had deposited Rs. 2,65,000/- in the bank account of ABH Marine Services as security deposit for the job as per the direction of the accused. However, the complainant got no proper reply about the job placement from the accused even after 07 months and asked to repay the amount. When his pressure failed to yield any result, he lodged a complaint at PS Pahargaon a month ago.
In another case, on 21/10/17, Pahargaon police arrested absconded accused Narasimman from Village-Kasuvarattipatti, Dist. Salem, Tamil Nadu on the charges of embezzling Rs 15,00,000/- from the business firm in Prothrapur, Port Blair. The case was registered at PS Pahargaon U/s 406/420 IPC against accused for cheating the Managing Director of XLT Engineering Pvt Ltd., Prothrapur who had appointed the accused as a sales and service employee in his firm at Prothrapur. By taking advantage of absence of managing director in these islands, he embezzled the said amount and absconded from these islands.
In both the cases, due to sincerity of SI, P.Jeevan of PS Pahargaon, who took up the investigation and his special efforts in Tamil Nadu in searching the accused, and supervision of Dy. SP (South Andaman) and SHO Sahil Shamsuddin, the arrest of these offenders could be made.
