Port Blair, Nov 22: The Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram is an all India organization working for the all-round development of the Vanvasi Society by protecting their indigenous faith& traditions. In this connection, Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram Mayabunder, North Andaman Unit is organising a “Vishal Janjati Adhikar Samavesh” on Sunday the 26th November, 2017 at Zilla Parishad Community Hall, Mayabunder at 9:30 am to address the problems and demands of Chotanagpuri Vanvasi- Adivasi community of Andaman & Nicobar Islands. A large number of gathering is expected from Mayabunder and Diglipur Tehsil to participate in this programme.
Mr. Somayajulu, All India Organizing Secretary, Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram will be the main speaker on this occasion. The problems such as unemployment, poverty, lack of basic facilities in dwelling areas, exploitation, poor implementation of government schemes in Chotanagpuri Vanvasi dwelling areas etc, will be the highlights of this Samavesh. The traditional Chotanagpuri folk dance will be the main attraction of this programe, which will be performed by the remote villagers of Mayabunder Tehsil.
