Port Blair, Nov 15: The Committee on Land Matters under the Chairmanship of Ex- Chief Secretary, Shri Vivek Rae (Retd. IAS) constituted by MHA vide order NoU-1308/1/2010/ANL dated 08/06/2017 has arrived on 15.11.2017. A meeting of the committee was convened in the Conference hall of DC South Andaman and attended by PCCF, Pr.Secretary(Rev/Finance), DC(SA) and other revenue and forest department officials at 1500 hrs on 15.11.2017. The committee deliberated on the crucial issues of compensation of Tsunami submerged land and encroachment regularization, as mentioned in the Terms of Reference. In addition, Committee is scheduled to visit Campbell Bay on 20.11.2017 for field visit and public meetings and will depart for Delhi on 22.11.2017. Public is hereby informed of the same.
