Port Blair, Nov 15: As a drive to promote GOI flagship programme of “beti bachao beti padhao”, Coast Guard Station Kamorta organised a Painting Competition for girl students of local schools and community on 14 Nov 17. The community at large, appreciated the Coast Guard efforts in promoting and facilitating daughters of progressive India in realising their dreams even in the remotest part of country having limited facilities/ opportunities and expressed their heartfelt gratitude. Best, first and second runner up participants was facilitated with prizes. The participant’s enthusiasm was highly appreciated by the organisers. Indian Coast Gaurd will continue to promote all GOI flagship programmes taking these to remotest hinterland alongwith.
