Port Blair, Nov 02: The District Commissioner, South Andaman, Mr Udit Prakash Rai along with the Councillor of Dairy Farm, Mrs Anusia Devi today evicted some encroachments, who had captured road side areas at Dairy Farm, illegally.
As per reports, the residents of the area had launched a complaint to the DC South Andaman about the shops running in the encroachment alongside the Dairy Farm Main Road that head towards Vijay Baug area.
The residents also mentioned in the complaint that due to these encroachments the area usually gets chocked with traffic also resulting into an accident.
As soon as the complaint was made, the DC South Andaman himself reached the spot along with the Revenue Officials and Police and immediately removed the encroachment.
The area councillor Mrs Anusia Devi also supported the move of the DC.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha, Mrs Anusia Devi said that a number of complaints have been received by the residents in recent days about the encroachment alongside the Road and that was true that just because of these encroachments a lot of traffic Jam and accidents has been reported from the said encroachment spot. The Revenue officials also sealed the encroachment area with a railing.
