Port Blair, Oct 31: A police team of PS Bambooflat has seized huge quantity of Padauk Logs from the possession of four people. As per detail in a raid conducted this morning the police team headed by S.I. Nixon seized 33 pieces of Padauk from Tsunami Pahad area of Bambooflat when the accused were shifting the logs to some other place.
The logs were seized by police under Indian Forest Act and then handed over to Forest Department along with the four offenders for further action it is learnt. The market value of 33 pieces of Padauk logs is believed to be close to 2.5 lakhs.
