Port Blair, October 31: Cannabis Plants weighing around 4.7 kgs were seized from the ALHW Colony at Brookshabad, Corbyn’s Cove yesterday at around 07:30pm.
As per reports, from 5 branches the ganja seized was of about 2.8 kgs and 1.9 kgs Ganja was seized from 4 Branches.
Ajit Kumar Kandar, 47 years, R/o ALHW Colony, Brookshabad, the accused, was arrested on the spot.
Inspector Sahil Shamsuddin, SHO, PS Pahargaon, Sub-Inspector Pritam Behari, Sub-Inspector Shilpi Singha, Head Constable Babu Rao, Police Constable Imamuddin, PC Sunil and Surya Banik conducted the raid after getting the information.
It is again on of the highest quantity that has been seized in the recent days by the Pahargaon Police Unit.
