Port Blair, Oct 27: After receiving credible information on 20/10/2017 by SHO PS Aberdeen that a deal in illicit ganja is likely to be struck at Corbyn’s Cove parking area, a raiding team led by Insp. Arun Kumar Singh, SHO PS Aberdeen, HC Vijay Shanker, HC V. Hentho, PC’s D. Shiv Kumar and Suresh under the supervision of Mr. M. K. Shukla, SDPO (SA) apprehended the accused person Amal Mondal and recovered 4.8 Kg of illicit ganja from his possession.
Subsequently another credible information received on 21/10/2017 regarding a deal in illicit ganja at Dairy Farm Junction, the above mentioned police team apprehended the accused person Biswajit Hawaldar from whose possession 1.14 Kg of illicit ganja was recovered.
Both the accused persons were arrested on the spot under the sections of Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985. Accordingly two cases have been registered against them at PS Aberdeen.
