Diglipur, 23 Oct: The A&N Administration on 23rd October organized a GST training programme at Administration building. During the programme the shopkeepers submitted a memorandum of demands to the Joint Commissioner GST, Port Blair. The shopkeepers alleged that the administration and GST officials emphasized repeatedly on filing of GST by all the businessmen of different trades irrespective of their annual turnover of 20 Lakhs. For this the administration various camps for registration for GST. Now the traders realized that there is no mandatory limit of registration for below 20 lakhs annual turnover traders. Now the businessmen’s came to know that the particular cases who are under 20 Lakh limit cannot delete their GST accounts for at least 1year and businessmen’s who wrongly accessed as regular over composite are also bound to file all the returns in time which will incur an additional expenditure on both of about 28,000/- a year.
After repeated query for awareness regarding how to file returns by businessmen’s now after three months administration is conducting file return training camp. In which we came to know that we already have lost three filling dates which in turn left us with additional burden of penalties and will may auto debited from our assigned accounts. Now the shopkeepers demanded to waive off all the pending penalties, Permanent GST facilitation at administrative block, and also allow to willingly delete accounts for shopkeepers below 20 Lakhs with immediate effect.
