Port Blair, Oct 16: Keeping its commitment of zero tolerence against illegal activities, the staff of PS CCS comprising SI V. Siva Kumar, HCs A. K. Singh, Lokeswar Rao, Bhupender Singh, Nakul Halder, K. J. Raffi, PCs M. Thangaraj, P. K. Mondal, Hari Krishna Yadav, K. Rajendran, S. Baroi and PC(D) John conducted a raid at Line Dera, Gupta Para on 14/10/2017 and apprehended 07 gamblers namely Subhankar Chawdhari R/o Manglutang, G. Amaran R/o Dairy Farm LalBijan, Iswar Das R/o Calicut, Vinit Naidu R/o Shadipur, Chandra Mohan R/o Delanipur, Dinesh Biswas R/o Prem Nagar near Kali Mandir and Swapan Sarkar R/o Line Dera, Guptapara near APWD Site office who were involved in gambling.
An amount Rs 1,63,600(Rupees one lakh sixty three thousand six hundred only) including stake money & personal search money has been recovered from the spot. They were challaned under the Andaman & Nicobar Gambling Regulation.
