Port Blair, Oct 12: The Electricity Department has started issuing energy bills to the consumers of the Phoenix Bay Site office on 23.10.2017, Aberdeen Bazar Site office on 24.10.2017, Haddo Site office on 26.10.2017, Premnagar Site officeon26.10.2017. site offices through SMS under paperless billing as on pilot basis. It has been observed that, due to some technical snags the process of SMS to the consumers failed. The inconvenience is highly regretted and all the consumers under these site offices are requested to approach their respective site offices or to the nearest CSC centres along with their previous bills or account number to make necessary payments before due date as mentioned to avoid surcharge.
