Port Blair, Oct 03: Vice Admiral Bimal Verma, AVSM, Commander-in-Chief, Andaman & Nicobar Command interacted with the media at Zephyr, Haddo as part of the 17th Raising Day Celebrations of the only joint tri-services operational Command of the country. The Commander-in-Chief welcomed the media and acknowledged the role of media in carrying the achievements of the Command to the masses. In his address, CINCAN outlined the operational readiness of the Command and brought out its implication on the security of the Islands.
The Commander-in-Chief highlighted various initiatives of the Command in the field of infrastructure development, community outreach by way of Recruitment Rallies, On the Job Training and Multi-Specialty Medical Camps that have given hope to the people in far flung areas. In his concluding remarks, CINCAN re-iterated that the Andaman & Nicobar Command is committed toward the safety, security and development of the Islands.
