Port Blair, Oct 03: A tree plantation drive was conducted by 1 A&N INDEP INF COY, NCC during the Annual Training Camp(ATC) 2017 at Andaman College. Approx 250 cadets of NCC junior/senior division (Boys) and senior wing (Girls) alongwith ANOs/care Takers and the Instructors of Army & Air Force whole heartedly participated in the drive.
A large number of medicinal and ornamental plants were planted by the cadets. The importance of trees in maintaining the delicate environmental balance was explained to the cadets. The cadets were encouraged to plant at least one tree on their birthday as a taken of their gratitude to mother nature.
