Baratang, Oct 03: The Zilla Parishad member Baratang, Mr.R Algarswamy along with Fibre Boat operators and workers met Lt Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi recently and appraised him of the situation arising out of compliance of GP rating norms.
According to a press communication of Mr. Alagarswamy, Lt. Governor reportedly gave a patient hearing in this regard and issued necessary directions to the concerned authorities for relaxation of the norms.
The Zilla Parishad member has expressed sincere gratitude towards Andaman and Nicobar Administration especially Lt. Governor, Chief Secretary, Chief Port Administrator and Deputy Commissioner (N&M) for extending the period of relaxation for compliance of GP rating norms till 31st Dec 2017. The relaxation provided has brought a great sense of relief for the local unemployed youths of Baratang area.
