Billyground, Sep 26: Few tourists were injured in a road accident on 26 September 2017 as one of the vehicle in which they were travelling met with accident at Billyground.
According to reports 10 Tourists in two over speed Mahindra Xylo vehicles, were reportedly travelling from Port Blair to Diglipur. While crossing Badam nallah near VKV School one of the vehicles’ tyre stepped on one of the betel nut tree, which was lying near road and overturned. Out of 10, six tourists were travelling in that Xylo who got minor injuries. They were later taken to PHC Billyground.
The Tourists were arranged for stay at Rangat and will probably return to Port Blair tomorrow. The Police has registered an FIR in this regard and further investigation is on.
