Diglipur, Sep 24: The new Asst Commissioner of Diglipur on 23 Sep visited Durga Puja pandals at Diglipur at 11AM for inspection of safety norms.
He inspected the pandals at Children Park, Vegetable market and Sharadiya Naba Yuva Durga Utsav Committee puja at Madhupur road.
After the inspection at Madhupur puja pandal Asst Commissioner ordered to remove the egg trays which were used as ceiling.
In the evening at 3.30 pm puja committee members alongwith Pradhan Subhashgram, Pradhan R K Gram and other public went to AC’s resident to discuss these issues.
They argued that as the puja celebrations are starting from Monday on 24th Sep so removal of the ceiling will put the Puja Committee in pickle.
Finally the AC reportedly asked them to provide an undertaking regarding to follow the safety norms.
Meanwhile the last minutes visit if Asst Commissioner has now raised many questions.
Unlike previous years no meeting was called by the administration at Diglipur for the reviews of law and order and review of puja pandals this year.
The Notice was served to the puja committees in the morning at 8am and the AC visited at 11 AM for the inspection.
