Port Blair, Sept 24: Parking of vehicles inside GB Pant hospital complex has become almost impossible these days due to arrival of large number of private vehicles inside during morning and evening hours.
Adding to the pain Most of the time one can see half a dozen of yellow board vehicles parked in the parking areas of G B Pant, which is reserved only for those who comes with patients.
This problem of yellow board vehicles are more in the evening hours when tour operators bring tourists for Cellular Jail’s Light and Sound Show and instead of parking their vehicles near water sports complex, they park vehicles in G B Pant’s parking area, leaving no space for those, who comes to see patients.
There is a need to appoint a security guard or even deploy a Traffic Jawan at the parking area so that entry of tourist vehicles can be restricted inside G B Pant Parking.
The matter does not end here the G B Pant has two out of service junk vehicles, which are also parked inside the parking area. These vehicles also occupy a lot of space. The Hospital authority must take immediate steps to remove these vehicles.
