Port Blair, Sep 19:Members of the Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry are hereby express thanks to the A&N Administration and its Officers particularly Shri Anindo Majumdar, Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Sanjeev Khirwar, Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Shipping) and Capt. Rajinder Kumar, Director of Shipping Services for their timely intervention by diverting additional ships for Havelock and Neil Islands sector to transport the stranded passengers due to suspension of services by private operators due to technical reasons. As a result of providing additional vessels, all tourists who were stranded at Havelock and Neil Islands could avail the ferry and reach the destination without any disruption.
Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry expect such support and intervention of the Administration in future also in the event of any such contingency.
