Port Blair, Sep 18: A “Swachhta Hi Seva” campaign is starting from 17th September 2017 to 2nd October 2017 at Gram Panchayat Mannarghat. On 17/09/2017 a swachhtaabhiyan was conducted on Mannarghat Ward No. 04 under the leadership of Shri O Bashir, Pradhan along with Gram Panchayat Members Smti. RasheedaBibi , Smti. RakhiLakra, Shri P. Mohd. Haneefa& Shri P. Abdul Manaf and local villagers in the form of Shramdhan to celebrate “SevaDiwas” on gram Panchayat. Earlier a “Swachhta Hi Seva” Pledge was taken by the General Public, Govt. Officals, PRIs & School Students at Community hall Malapuram in presence of Shri. Udit Prakash Rai, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman during his visit on 16/09/2017 at Gram Panchayat Mannarghat. It is target of gram Panchayat to cover all wards, Govt. Institutions & public places during the fortnight under “Swachhta Hi Seva” campaign i.e. up to 2nd October 2017 for maintaining hygienic atmosphere in an around the jurisdiction.
