Diglipur, Sept 17: Two suspicious vessels have been sighted by Police Jawans posted at Narcondam Island this morning.
According to sources this morning the police team sighted two Orange and yellow colour, raft like vessels inside Indian waters.
Immediately an alert was sounded by the Police Outpost team to the Police Headquarter.
Meanwhile Coast Guard was intimated about this update and soon a Coast Guard Vessel was sent to the area but by the meantime both the suspicious vessels went back and were no more visible from Narcondam Island.
As a precautionary measure, the Coast Guard has deployed a ship in that region and kept three more vessels standby at Diglipur Jetty and all the landing points in North and Middle Andaman, including East Island, have been alerted, in this regard.
Sources said that later a Dornier Aircraft was also sent in the region but due to poor visibility the aircraft could not sight anything.
