Port Blair, September 06: The villagers of Tushnabad have threatened to hold a major protest against Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited as since last two months the villagers are hardly getting any mobile network.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha, the ex Up-Adhyaksh, South Andaman Zilla Parishad, Mr Anand Amrit Raj said that since last two months the residents of the area are hardly getting any calls or they hardly have any network in their home to even call anybody.
He said that not only this as the BSNL Exchange at Tushnabad is not equipped with generator thus during a power cut the entire area gets isolated from other parts.
Further talking to Andaman Sheekha, the Up-Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Tushnabad, Mrs M Saida said that she along with other PRIs have already met the General Manager of BSNL on 05th September, 2017 and submitted him a letter to resolve the problem in their area within 3 days otherwise the villagers will hold a massive protest in front of the BSNL site office Tushnabad. “The Villagers are frustrated with the BSNL services,” Mrs Saida added.
