Port Blair, Aug 30: The Suryachakra Power House Sramiks Karamchari Union (SPHSKU) of 20 MW SPCL Power Plant at Bambooflat, affiliated to Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, today had a meeting under the leadership of Union patron- Mr. Vishal jolly with Comm.-cum-Secretary (Power), Deputy Commissioner (SA) & Superintending Engineer, Elect. Dept., and it was decided to Call off the strike in the larger interest of people of South Andaman keeping in view the upcoming festive season and resume Power Plant immediately.
Also special thanks offered to Lt. Governor, Chief Secretary, Secretary (Law), Secretary (Labour), Secretary (Finance), Deputy Commissioner (SA) & Labour Commissioner for their valuable efforts in resolving the issue including all Political & Non-political parties, NGO’s Police Dept. & IRBn, PRI members and public of Bambooflat area for immense support during the strike.
