Port Blair, Aug 29: As part of community policing initiative by Andaman and Nicobar Police, a meeting of Private Contractors was convened at PS Havelock Conference Hall by the SHO, Mr. Rahul Singh on 21.8.2017 in which 17 Private Contractors have participated. the meeting the following points were raised and directions were also given to them such as : Proper verification should be done before engaging labours in the work, the labours should be provided with proper safety equipments while doing work, a proper record of labours / new comer should be maintained with their identification proofs by the company and a copy should also send to the PS. Further, the contractors were strictly directed to give proper guidance to workers not to involve in any kind of criminal activity, not to engage any Child Labour in their work and all contractors were advised to follow rules and regulations.
