Diglipur, Aug 28: In a swift operation, the Pawanhans Helicopter on 28 August undertook an evacuation of a pregnant lady in critical situation from Diglipur. According to reports the lady Mrs Monika Sarkar w/o Janak Sarkar r/o Durgapur was admitted at CHC Diglipur after she developed some complications due to obstructed labour.
As per the decision taken by the CMO, CHC Diglipur Dr Jai Biswas, the patient was evacuated from Diglipur with the help of Pawanhans Helicopter this afternoon. With vacuum extraction delivery both the mother and the newly born baby boy were reportedly saved at Port Blair. Both mother and baby are reportedly safe and healthy.
