Port Blair, Aug 22: One person namely Ashutosh Bairagi aged about 26yrs committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree at Tugapur No.08 around 07 am near his residence today.
As per reports, the deceased was the fiancée of Late Ganga Dhali, the 19 year old girl, who was recently murdered by her mother Rita Dhali and her lover Amrito Halder on 21 August 2017.
As soon as the villagers saw the deceased hanging from a tree, the matter was informed to PS Mayabunder. It is learnt that a suicide note was also recovered from the body of Ashutosh Bairagi. Further investigations are on.
