Mayabunder, August 20: A 22 year old woman namely Sunaina Sikdar, w/o Tarak Sikdar, R/o Mayabunder tried to immolate herself yesterday at around 03:30 pm inside her residence.
As per reports, the woman took this extreme step following some family problems. As per sources, the woman suffered 95% burn injuries following which she was referred to the Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital, Port Blair today. The Mayabunder Police Unit has registered a case in this regard and further investigations are on.
