Port Blair, Aug 18: This is regarding training of untrained in-service elementary teachers in the Govt./Govt. Aided/unaided Private Schools. It is appraised that the Amendment to the section 23(2) of the RTE Act to extend the period for such training to 31st March, 2019 has been passed by the Parliament.Port Blair, Aug 18: This is regarding training of untrained in-service elementary teachers in the Govt./Govt. Aided/unaided Private Schools. It is appraised that the Amendment to the section 23(2) of the RTE Act to extend the period for such training to 31st March, 2019 has been passed by the Parliament. Further it is reiterated that this will be the last chance to acquire the requisite minimum professional qualifications. Any teacher in the above mentioned schools, who does not have the minimum qualifications mandated under the RTE Act, 2009, would not be allowed to continue in-service beyond 1st April, 2019, and procedute for dismissal shall be initiated against such teachers. The D.EL.Ed training programme for the registered teachers will start form 3rd Oct,2017. Hence they have to register themselves with NIOS on or before 15th September-2017. The concerned In-service teachers are required to provide details like Name of the Teacher, Aadhar Number, U.DISE Code of the School where he/she is employed, Current Mobile No., Details of qualification showing the subjects passed in Sr.Secondary, (+2 stage), percentage of Marks, year of passing and Board of Examination etc. on e-mail tagore2481@gmail.com on or before 20th August,2017.
