Port Blair, Aug 11: The Election Commission of India with an objective to bring a totally error free and authenticated electoral roll, and to have a common Electoral Roll Management System throughout India has come up with a online web-based portal “ERO-Net” (Electoral registration Officer Net) being launched in all States-UTs through which all the online electoral roll related works be undertaken on regular basis.
The ERO-Net will be launched by the chief Electoral Officer, Andaman & Nicobar Islands on 14.08.2017 at 3.00P.M. in the Mini Conference Hall of the Secretariat, A&N Administration, Port Blair.
Enabling various services to external stakeholders ERO-net will also help in improving efficiency, decision making of internal stakeholders. It is envisioned keeping in mind that no eligible voter to be left behind. The system strives to make an applicant’s entry in e-roll unambiguous and error free without much of a hassle. ERO-Net brings in seamless processing of forms, easy handling of the databases. It facilitates efficient form processing, simplified dashboards, role based access, and maintenance of E-Rolls.
The EC has urged unregistered electors to use such facilities through ERO Net by logging on to www.nvsp.in so as to enable Election Commission to achieve the target of 100% error free and authenticated electoral roll.
