Port Blair, Aug 11: An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the richter scale hits Andaman Islands on Friday.
According to National Centre for Seismology, a unit of Ministry of Earth Sciences, the quake, whose epicentre was in the Andaman Islands region, occurred at 09:04 AM at a depth of 10 km. There were no immediate reports of loss of life or property.
