Port Blair, August 10: To celebrate the World’s Bio-Fuel Day the Indian Oil Port Blair Terminal and NYCS (National Yuva Co-Operative Society) jointly organized a WALKATHON on 10.08.201 at Port Blair.
The Chairperson of Port Blair Municipal Coucil Mr B Eswar Rao was the Chief Guest during the occasiuon. 150 students including the Principals of Andaman College, JNRM College, Government Model Senior Secondary School and employees of Indian Oil, Port Blair participated in the Walkathon.
The Walkathon was flagged off by the Chief Guest, B Eswar Rao and Prakash Tiru from Netaji Stadium at 08:30 Hrs which covered a span of 4 kms.
All participants in full enthusiasm shouted Slogans on Energy Conservation and awareness in using Bio Fuel. The event was concluded by a vote of thanks by Sri Prakash Tiru, Chief Terminal Manger, Port Blair.
