Diglipur, Jul 21: GST effect is now clearly seen very much effective on the private AC buses as now the charges have hiked around 5% after the GST implementation.
As per approved rates of GST, there is 5 percent GST on transport by Air conditioned stage carriage.
The SS Transports A/c bus will now charge Rs 450/- + 5% GST, which is Rs. 22.50 and hence the rate will be Rs. 472.50 from Diglipur to Port Blair.
From Mayabunder to Port Blair the rate will be Rs. 350/- +17.50 = Rs. 367.50, from Billiground to Nimbudera it will be Rs. 290/- + Rs. 14.50/- = Rs. 304.50, from Rangat to Port Blair it will be Rs. 250+ Rs. 12.50 = Rs. 262.50, from Kadamtala to Port Blair Rs. 180+ Rs.9= Rs.189/-, and from Baratang it will be Rs. 140 + 7= Rs.147/-.
As per details, recently in previous two months all private buses had increased their charges by 10%.
