
Port Blair, Jul 20: Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament along with Padmashree Naresh Chandra Lal, Ambassador, Swachh Bharat Mission, Andaman & Nicobar Islands met Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi today at 11.15 am.
During the meet Mr. Naresh Chandra Lal presented 2 DVDs- one Containing his award winning feature film- Gandhi-The Mahatma and another DVD Swachh Bharat Mission work in various places such as colleges, medicals, schools, villages, offices etc. He also handed over a hard copy on Swachh Bharat Mission.
Further Naresh Chandra Lal told Prime Minister that he wishes to spread awareness about ill effect of tobacco and alcohol. When Mr. Lal said pointed out that lot of people are saying that ban on alcohol will leave negative impact on Tourism, the Prime Minister said that banning alcohol will never do bad to tourism. He said that in Gujarat after alcohol ban numbers of tourists have increased.
The Prime minister appreciated the work of Mr Naresh Lal and assured to visit Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
