Port Blair, Jul 19: The Jan Kranti Party today requested the Director Education for removal of inappropriate crietaria from the tender for provision of manpower for security duties.
In a letter addressed to the Director, Education Mr. K Venkat, President, JKP requested for removal of criteria mentioning “Train the Trainer T-3 Course” which is conducted SSSDC in mainland to train Instructors for Security Guard Training.
It is not understood as to how this can be included as a qualification for participating in the tender process, questioned Mr. Venkat. In most of the cases the firms which are participating are either Joint firms or Cooperative Societies leaving few Proprietorship companies for whom the individual qualification does not matter.
Therefore it is felt that this qualification has been included with intention to favor some particular person or Mainlanders. This qualification was never ever asked for in the earlier Tenders by any Department. Asking for T-3 (Train The Trainer) Certificate which is not a qualification as required by the Andaman Private Security ACT 2010 is therefore totally illegal and hence calls for reevaluation of the whole process, Mr. Venkat added.
