Port Blair, Jul 19: At Andaman High waves in the range of 3.0 – 3.8 meters are forecasted during 17:30 hours on 19-07-2017 to 23:30 hours of 21-07-2017 along the west coast of Andaman Islands between Ten Degree Channel and Coco Channel. Current speeds vary between 61 – 85 cm/sec. Under the influence of moderate to strong Southwest monsoon current, strong southwesterly wind speed between 25 and 35 kmph gusting to 45 km per hour and generally rough seas likely along and off Andaman coast. Fishermen are advised to be cautious while venturing into the sea.
At Nicobar High waves in the range of 3.0 – 3.4 meters are forecasted during 17:30 hours on 19-07-2017 to 23:30 hours of 21-07-2017 along the west coast of Nicobar Islands between Ten Degree Channel and Great Channel. Current speeds vary between 78 – 103 cm/sec. Under the influence of moderate to strong Southwest monsoon current, strong southwesterly wind speed between 25 and 35 kmph gusting to 45 km per hour and generally rough seas likely along and off Nicobar coast. Fishermen are advised to be cautious while venturing into the sea.
