Diglipur, Jul 16: A military Helicopter of Andaman and Nicobar Command yesterday evacuated a ‘critical’ pregnant lady from Diglipur.
According to reports the pregnant lady patient, Mrs Anju Gain aged about 38 years, R/o Radhanagar admitted at CHC Diglipur, after she developed some complications of Eclampsia.
As there was shortage of blood, after search A & N Police constable from PS Diglipur, Shri G P Mridha and Shri A N Gond from Indian Coast Guard went to CHC and donated blood.
After discussions, with the help of DHS, ANC and MRCC a military helicopter was sent to evacuate the patient from Diglipur at 7.30PM.
The patient was safely evacuated and Caesarean Operation was done at Port Blair. Both the patient and the baby are reportedly fine now.
