Port Blair, Jul 11: Rubina Siddiqui, Member A&N UTCPCR, has been felicitated by SNDT women’s University, the first women’s university in India as well as South East Asia which has completed a glorious 101 successful years of educating girls who have turned out into empowered women of substance. Rubina Siddiqui an Alumna of this University has been one of the seven Alumnae who have been chosen from amongst all the Alumnae to receive the “Distinguished Luminous Alumna” award at the Post Centennial Celebration, of the University on 5th July . Shri. Vinod Tawde, Minister for Higher and technical education, School Education & Sports, Youth welfare, Minority Development, Marathi Bhasha & culture, Government of Maharashtra was the Chief Guest of the function. Shri Sudhir Thackersey, chairman Emeritus- Hindoostan Mills Ltd was the guest of honour.
