Port Blair, Jun 15: The PCC President Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma with a delegation of villagers of Bimbiltan and Tylarabad villages met the Secretary (Transport) A & N Administration and discussed various issues pertaining to general public of the area. Shri Kuldeep informed the Secretary (Transport) that the residents of Tylarabad and Bimbltan villages are facing much difficulties to reach Port Blair Bazar due to shortage of bus services. He requested the Secretary (Transport) to provide additional bus service to these villages. The PCC president suggested that in the interest of general public the last destination of all STS buses plying between Bus Terminus and Garacharma be extended up to Tylerabad / Bimbiltan village. Further he said that in the past a Bus use to depart at 7.30 p.m. from the Bus Terminus for Tylerabad for the benefit of people particularly ladies working in Business establishments at Port Blair market and those who work in office at late hours. However, this service has been discontinued for reasons not known. Shri Kuldeep urged for reintroducing the service at the earliest on public interest.
