Port Blair, Jun 15: The Andaman Association of Tour Operators has requested the Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands to direct IP&T to participate in the TTF Kolkata.
In a letter addressed to Lt. Governor the President, AATO Mr. M. Vinod has requested Lt. Governor to allow local stake holders to participate in TTF Kolkata through Tourism Department. As TTF Kolkata is the biggest of all tourism fairs and it has large number of visitors and has a good potential for Andaman tourism.
Further he said that Tourism Department is participating in the fair since last several years which was always been a success making increase in the number of participants every year. But surprisingly last year the Tourism Department participated in CII instead of TTF Kolkata and this year too department is planning to visit CII which will not be beneficial for the island tourism and no stake holders will participate.
He also informed that AATO is grateful to the Administration for participating in all National and International Tourism Fairs providing local stake holders to participate through departmental stall for the welfare of Tourism of Andamans.
