Port Blair, May 31: The DGP of A&N Islands, Mr. Rajesh Malik IPS has been transferred to New Delhi and Ms Nuzhat Hassan will be new DGP A&N Islands. She is a 1991 batch IPS officer who has been transferred from Arunachal Pradesh
She has previously served as Joint Commissioner of Headquarters, Delhi Police, in Ministry of Minority affairs as Private Secretary (Director Level) to the erstwhile minister Mr. Salman Khurshid.
Ms. Nuzhat joined the National Book Trust as Director in February 2005 and has represented India and the NBT at many international book fairs, including those held in Frankfurt, Beijing, Lahore, Leipzig and Barcelona.
A postgraduate in chemistry and LLB from Delhi University, she also has a Master’s degree in mass communication from the Jamia Milia Islamia and has authored The Marginals, a collection of short stories.
Mr. Manoj , IPS and Guguloth Amrutha has been transferred from Delhi and posted to A & N Islands as new SP who will replace Ravindra Kumar Pandey who is presently posted as SP CID and Geeta Rani Verma who is presently posted in PTS.
Mr. Atul Kumar Thakur also transferred from A&N Islands and posted to Delhi. Ms Tanvi Garg has been transferred from A&NI to Chandigarh, She is a 2006 batch, IAS officer of AGMUT cadre. Raajiv Yuduvanshi has been transferred from ANI to GNCTD. He is a 1989 batch IAS officer of AGMUT cadre.
Ms. Kriti Garg, IAS has been transferred to Andaman and Nicobar. Kriti Garg who is presently holding as SDM (south) at Chandigrah has been transferred to Andaman and Nicobar Islands. She is the younger sister of Tanvi Garg, IAS who is presently posted at Andaman and Nicobar Administration as Secretary (Education). She had cleared the Indian Economic Services Exam in 2011.
