Port Blair, Apr 24: It has come to notice that some fishing boats registered with Fisheries Department are engaging in catching of Sharks. In view of closed fishing season for shark fishing from 15th day of April to 31st day of May, 2017, it is once again brought to the notice of the owners of all classes of fishing vessel, not to engage in shark fishing activity during the specified closed fishing season in A&N waters. Any violation by the owners of the vessels will be viewed seriously and action as per rules shall be taken.
