Port Blair, Apr 25: Shri Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament, A & N Islands has requested to the Chairman, Joint Parliamentary Committee Dr. Satyapal Singh on 11.04.2017 to visit A&N Islands.
In the letter addressed to Chairman, Joint Parliamentary committee Mr. Ray has requested to examine the ground realities and also to redress the grievances of affected peoples of this UT Islands who are residing in this territory since past many years, but not allowed citizenship due to non-implementation of “Citizenship (Amendment) Bill,2016”. This population are eagerly waiting for enactment of this Bill, so that their life can be easy and dignified.
