Port Blair, April 12: Seven Crew Members of Private Scuba Diving Boat was arrested this morning for attacking a CISF Jawan in Uniform inside Phoenix Bay Jetty.
As per sources, one of the CISF Jawans on duty at Phoenix Bay Jetty asked one of the crew of Private Boat not to smoke inside the jetty which triggered an argument, resulting into a fight.
Eyewitnesses told Andaman Sheekha that as the fight started between the two, Six more Crew Members of Private Tourist Boat came down from the boat and attacked the CISF Jawan in uniform.
However, sources in the jetty said that few minutes after the incident, more than 10 CISF Jawan went inside the Private Tourist Boat and attacked Crew Members present inside the boat.
It is learnt that the Aberdeen Police Station has registered a case against the Seven Crew Members of Private Tourist Boat for attacking a CISF Jawan in uniform which is a non-bailable offence. All the Seven Crew Members will be produced in the Court tomorrow, it is learnt.
