Port Blair, Apr 09: The Jan Kranti Party has demanded 15% reservation for the Island Born people in Andamans.
In a letter addressed to the Home Minister the President of Jan Kranti Party, Mr. K.Venkat Ram Babu, said that the majority of population which is approximately 50% plus are 10 years Category, which comes in General Category, who are born in these Islands and are undergoing miserable life and are deprived of getting any facilities such as higher education, government jobs etc.
Mr. Ram further strongly recommend that the Islands born, who comprise of approx 50% plus population of these Island population should also be given 15% reservations like others.
