Port Blair, Mar 30: As part of annual sports, Andaman College conducted the inter-departmental Volleyball tournament on 30th March 2017. Shri F.E. Andrew, Centre Incharge, SAI, SAG Centre, Port Blair, was the chief guest and Dr.R.Dev Das, Principal, ANCOL, was the guest of honour on this occasion.
During his address, the chief guest advocated that opportunity should be given to all the students to participate in sports in order to make them self-reliant and independent. In his welcome speech, Dr. R. Dev Das reiterated that co-curricular activity is an important part for all round development of personality. He, futher, stated that the students need to participate in sports in order to remain physically fit and may opt for it as a career.
The girls of B.Com (General) defeated BA (Sociology) and the boys of B.Com (CS) defeated BA (English) in the final match.
