Port Blair, March 29: A major crack on water supply pipeline to Military Engineering Services caused pipe burst today, resulting in flooding inside a house at Brichgunj area, this morning.
According to information, the incident was reported at about 11.30 am, when the main feeder line supplying water to Military Engineering Services burst behind the House.
Water from the pipeline started flowing out with heavy pressure and within no time the house owned by a lady got flooded and water level was reportedly more than one feet.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha, the lady owner of the house said that some of the electronic items, furniture and other house hold items got damaged due to the flood. “Who will compensate the losses and how will we sleep today at night?” questioned the House Owner.
Till last report poured in, no one from Administration had contacted the affected family for any kind of help.
