Port Blair, Mar 27: The students of Tagore Govt. B. Ed College on Saturday 25th March 2017 made exposure visit to SURABI- NGO to observe Self Help Group members activities and interacted with them by gathering at Don Bosco Multipurpose Hall, at SURABI premises. Welcoming the students Fr. Jayaraj, Director, SURABI gave short intro about SURABI and its functions.
Later Shri. Venkatesan, Professor JNRM collage addressing the gathering shared his views about SURABI and disbursed the cheques to Self Help Group members those who were interviewed by All India Radio on 28th of February 2017 by Fr. John, Director, Don Bosco Mission to Andaman. Members shared their experience about the Self Help Groups and their activities performed. On the occasion Mr.Deepak SHG, Mathura demonstrated on a group meeting. Interacting in groups the students of TGCE visited the operations of Self Help Group members and activities performed which were arranged outside the hall.
Altogether 120 students attended for exposure visit. Vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Vimla, initiator.
