Port Blair, Mar 23: Lt Gen SatishDua, UYSM,SM,VSM, Chief of Integrated Defence Staff to the Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee (CISC) is on a four day visit to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands since 19thMar 17. He is accompanied by MrsAradhanaDua, President Defence Wives Welfare Association (Integrated Defence Staff). During the visit to the Andaman & Nicobar Command, where he called on Vice Admiral BimalVerma, AVSM Commander-in-Chief, the General Officer was briefed on operational and infrastructure requirements of the Command. He was also briefed at INS Kardip and Air Force Station Carnic during his visit to CarNicobar and Kamorta Islands on 20 Mar 17.
Lt Gen SatishDua took over as CISC on 31 Oct 16. Commissioned into infantry, the General Officer has extensively served in active local conflict/Terrorist infested areas in his distinguish professional career, which includes the distinction of raising a Counter- Terrorism force of Assam Rifles in the North East and orchestrating some of the most successful counter terrorism operations in the history of the Indian Armed Forces.
