Campbell Bay, Mar 15: The AC Cup 2017 which began on 19 Feb with 16 teams from Campbell Bay concluded with the final match of the 20-20 league cum knock out Cricket tournament played between INS Baaz (Indian Navy) vs Island Stars at Mini Stadium, Campbell Bay on 12 March 2017 in which Island stars won the toss and elected to bat. Chasing the target of 127 runs INS Baaz could make 110 runs and lost the match by 16 runs.
Thousands of Spectators were present to witness the grand finale. A cash prize of Rs 5000 was also awarded to the winning team Island stars by pradhan, Campbell Bay Mr.Raja. Gift hampers were given to the umpires and sports teachers who were involved in the smooth conduct of the whole tournament.
Prizes to the winners & runner up were given by AC Campbell Bay Dr Mohd Rehan Raza following which Man of the match was awarded to Mr. Birebder Barla of Island Stars & Yuvrag Singh as Man of the Series from the same team.
