Port Blair, Mar 15: Ensuring strict action against contraband items, on 11/03/2017, a Police team of PS Aberdeen on reliable source of information, conducted a raid at Ranchi Tikrey near VKV Primary School and arrested two persons namely G.Rajni (44 yrs) R/o Mahaveer Nagar Bird Line and S.Selvam (49 yrs) R/o Junglighat Ward No.7 from whose possession 2 Kgs of illicit Ganja was recovered and a case vide Crime No. 124/17 dated 11/03/2017 under Section 20(b) (ii) (B) of NDPS Act 1985 was registered against them at PS Aberdeen and produced before the Hon’ble Court at Port Blair.
Similarly on 11/03/2017, acting on a credible information, a team of Police Station Pahargaon, conducted a raid at Garacharma, Kali Mandir and arrested one person namely Mohd. Sultan (47 yrs) R/o Garachama from whose possession 82 grams of illicit Ganja was recovered and a case vide Cr. No. 75/17 dated 11/03/2017 U/s 20(b)(ii) A of NDPS Act 1985 was registered.
The entire operation was monitored by Insp. Arun Kumar Singh SHO PS Aberdeen and Insp. Sahil Samsuddin SHO PS Pahargaon under the overall supervision of Shri Nishant Gupta Dy.SP (SA).
