Port Blair, March 15: A 2.5 meter long, massive Crocodile, weighting around 50-60 kilogram, today attacked a staff of South Andaman Forest Department this morning during the rescue operation of the same crocodile.
As per reports, some of the staffs of South Andaman Forest Department reached the New Manglutan area this morning after they received a complaint from a villager of sighting a Crocodile in a creek, very close to his house.
After reaching the spot when a two member team was conducting a search in the creek, all of a sudden, the Crocodile attacked Mr Umar and grabbed his leg.
However the Forest Department staff and the villagers present at the spot rescued him and rushed him to the nearby Hospital where he suffered 25-30 stitches, it is learnt.
